Carnevale Italiano is a celebration of all things Italian held annually in early April, at the New Italy Museum Complex,
8275 Pacific Highwway, (11 Km south) of Woodburn N.S.W

It's lineage is the former Anniversary Day which celebrated the arrival in Sydney in 1881, of the survivors of the failed M de Rays expedition to New France.

On the day there will be music,
dancing,
singing, food, and other activities.

It is a major fundraiser for the not for profit, volunteer run, New Italy Museum complex.
All funds raised go towards the maintenance and improvement of the complex.

Many thanks also go to the small army of volunteers who turn up on the day to contributed their time and resources.
Some of these volunteers are descendants of the original New Italy settlers, and all enthusiastically embrace the ideals for which the New Italy Museum complex was established.

The event would not be viable without the support of our many generous sponsors and supporters.
In particular, Summerland Travel Lismore, Richmond Waste, Richmond Valley Council, The Northern Star, Ramada Hotel & Suites Ballina and Booyong Designs.
